I was born in Wallachia, a blessed land, where I learned from an early age what it means to love your people, your home, and your roots. After the fall of the communist wall, life took me far away, but my soul always remained at home. Wherever I went, longing accompanied me, burning like an unquenchable flame. I left burdened by injustice, but carrying in my heart a strong patriotism and an unwavering desire for justice.

In my search, the image of Vlad Țepeș was often my support and light. In him, I saw the need for truth, the power to fight, and the courage to face darkness. But I also felt him as a lonely man, wounded by betrayal, but full of love for his country.

Years passed, and one day, in Berlin, in a quiet library, I found a book that changed my life: “The Loneliness of Vlad Țepeș”. I opened the pages and felt my heart skip a beat. In Ilena Toma’s words, I discovered not only a ruler, but a human soul, both vulnerable and strong. Then I knew that it was no coincidence that fate had brought me to that book.

I met the author, and she entrusted me with the most beautiful mission: to be her messenger, to carry on the love and truth about Vlad Țepeș. I received this gift not as a source of pride, but as a calling of the heart.

I seek neither glory nor praise. All I want is for this book to inspire more love and understanding between people. Let us look at our history with clear eyes, seeing not only the sword and the harshness, but also the soul that loved and suffered.

For me, it all boils down to one thing: love. Love of country, love of truth, love of people. This is the flame I want to ignite in the hearts of those who will discover “The Loneliness of Vlad Țepeș.”
